February 28th is long past, but my first photo is from that day and shows my t-shirt cut into various parts.

I had this cool “girlie” size t-shirt that was never gonna fit (seriously, I’d have to shrink, not just lose weight), but I wanted to do something with it because I really like the design. The front and back of the tee are the front and back of the bag, the top border of the bag is the ribbing from the arms plus a little from the bottom hem, the sides and bottom are out of the lower part of the tee, and the handles are made out of the ribbed neckline.

I chose the size of the bag based on where I wanted the design to be and made sure there was enough fabric to go around. After cutting the various parts, I ironed interfacing onto each piece (except handles) to make them a little sturdier, sewed it all together, and added some topstitching.

  Voila! T-shirt Bag.
